"Harvey’s Christmas Decorations"

Almost every house you see this time of year is decorated for Christmas. Some are so gorgeous that cars line up just to marvel at the displays. Then there’s Harvey, who is a genuine piece of work.

Harvey had one of the most unusual homeowner seasonal displays ever created by an idiot. The cops made him take down his creation because it was a public safety hazard. Maybe the display wasn’t illegal, but it should’ve been because it scared the daylights out of dozens of Harvey’s neighbors.

Cops took pictures of a half-dozen tire tracks on Harvey’s lawn where people left the road when they saw Harvey’s weird Christmas display.

This day Harvey comes home early so he can spend time decorating the outside of his house while it’s still daylight. He has trouble with the ladder while he’s attaching a string of lights across the roof on the front of the house. That’s when the idea bulb flashes over Harvey’s empty head.

He assembles some materials and takes them into the garage where he assembles his masterpiece -- a life- sized dummy wearing bluejeans and a red shirt.

Then Harvey climbs the ladder and attaches the dummy to the edge of the roof on the front of the house. Picture this from a drive-by point of view:

There’s the dummy hanging precariously from the edge of the roof with the ladder fallen over into the bushes 12-feet below. Looks like this (fake) guy is in imminent danger!

Seeing this sight, a 55-year-old lady driving by jumps out of her car and runs to the rescue. She falls trying to get the ladder up to save the dummy.

There are other rescue attempts but thankfully nobody gets hurt. When the cops arrive, Harvey is standing in his neighbor’s yard laughing his head off.
