"Cops Everywhere!"

Woody and Stash rob a bank in downtown Baltimore. It’s the midday rush when the bank is jammed with customers.

According to the "Baltimore Sun" newspaper, Woody pulls out a gun and tells everybody to "stick ’em up." Stash jumps over the counter and empties money into a black bag.

So far so good. Then, oops! There’s a problem. There’s an FBI agent on his lunch break a few doors away at the Burger King. The agent leaves the restaurant just in time to see our guys run out of the bank with a black bag and a gun.

The FBI guy, who likes to walk a lot during his lunch break, takes off after the robbers. A Baltimore cop cruising by recognizes the FBI guy chasing these two master criminals. He joins the footrace.

As the group rounds a corner, the FBI guy catches up with Stash who is the one carrying the money bag. The Baltimore cop keeps running after Woody.

By now Woody is so tired and scared, he tosses the gun and car keys into the gutter. When Woody arrives at the getaway car-four blocks run from the scene of the crime-there’s yet another Baltimore cop putting a parking ticket on the car.

Woody tries to retreat. Too late! He’s nabbed in the middle of the noon hour pedestrian rush. Woody and Stash are cuffed and put in the back of separate patrol cars.

Why not in the same car? Let’s not give our boys too much private time together to "get their stories straight." The bank robbery worked just fine until the unforeseen arrival of the FBI and two Baltimore city cops. Good day’s work, officers. Two skels in the pokie, plus the bank’s money and the gun all recovered.

Kind of embarrassing for the bad guys, though. Not to worry. They’ll have 10 years to put an amazing spin on their story for the other cons.
